Suzanne Taylor
Suzanne Taylor is a marketing
consultant who helps companies acquire more customers, create great
products, and improve customer retention. Her area of expertise is
building businesses through customer driven innovation. Taylor’s client
list includes Intuit, Yahoo!, Adobe, Palm, Microsoft, and several
high-tech startups. Taylor worked for Intuit, Inc. for eight years in a
variety of marketing roles including Quicken product manager, customer
insight, and corporate marketing. She also worked in brand management at
the Clorox Company leading marketing efforts for Fresh Step cat litter and
Formula 409 spray cleaner brands.
Taylor has led product teams through the full product
development lifecycle and has managed all elements of the marketing mix,
both online and offline. She has taught two marketing classes at
Stanford University and holds Stanford AB and MBA degrees.
Her first book, titled Inside Intuit: How the Makers
of Quicken Beat Microsoft and Revolutionized an Entire Industry, was
published by Harvard Business School Press in 2003. Symantec selected
Inside Intuit for a company-wide management book club discussion in
2004.

Kathy Schroeder
Kathy Schroeder is a full time author. She spent
seven years in marketing for Ford Motor Company. While in the Stanford
MBA program, Kathy was the Features Editor of the Stanford Business School
Newspaper and Staff Writer for the Stanford Daily News. She also served
as Copy Editor for a health textbook publisher. After her MBA, Schroeder
spent four years in Project Management and Corporate Marketing for Risk
Management Solutions, leading consulting teams utilizing the company’s
complex software. She then led the Business Development effort at
NetEarnings.com, making the first small business finance distribution
deals with Yahoo, Microsoft, and Quicken.com.
Schroeder has written three unpublished novels and
a play, contributed to various newsletters and publications, and taught an
Internet marketing class at Stanford in 2001. She holds a BS in
Business with Highest Distinction from Indiana University and an MBA from
Stanford.
